Right of withdrawal
Information for consumers under the Polish Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014 (ustawa o prawach konsumenta). As at: 16 October 2026.
In short. You may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. You can still start using MousePlayer immediately — we ask you about this expressly at checkout. If you then withdraw, you pay only for the time actually used; we refund the rest.
1. Who this right applies to
The right of withdrawal belongs to consumers. A consumer is any natural person entering into a transaction with a trader that is not directly connected with their business or professional activity (art. 221 of the Polish Civil Code).
Business customers do not have this right. Section 1.3 of our Terms of Service applies to them; section 32 of the same Terms sets out which provisions apply differently to consumers.
A special case concerns sole traders: if you enter into the contract in the course of your activity but outside your professional specialisation, you are entitled both to the right of withdrawal and to the protection against unfair contract terms (art. 3855 of the Polish Civil Code, art. 38a of the Consumer Rights Act). Whether this is so is determined by the scope of activity recorded for you in CEIDG. If you believe it applies to you, write to us — we will examine it individually and, in case of doubt, decide in your favour.
2. Withdrawal period
The period is 14 days from the day the contract is concluded (art. 27 and art. 28 pt 2 of the Consumer Rights Act). The contract is concluded when your payment is confirmed and your plan is activated; the confirmation email states that moment.
To meet the deadline it is sufficient that you send your statement before the last day expires. It does not matter when it reaches us.
If we failed to inform you of the right of withdrawal, the period is extended by twelve months; if we provide that information within those twelve months, the period ends 14 days after the information is given (art. 29 of the Consumer Rights Act).
Renewing the subscription — moving from the first to the second month, for instance — does not open a new period: it is the same continuing contract. To end a running subscription you terminate it rather than withdraw; see section 8.
3. How to withdraw
Withdrawal is not subject to any particular form. All that is needed is an unequivocal statement that you are withdrawing from the contract. You may use the model form in section 4, but you do not have to.

No reason is required, and the statement itself costs you nothing.
We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal without delay on a durable medium, normally by email (art. 30 sec. 3 of the Consumer Rights Act).

5. Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw effectively, we will refund all payments received from you without delay and no later than within 14 days of the day your statement reached us — less the amount under section 6, if any arises (art. 32 sec. 1 of the Consumer Rights Act).
We will use the same means of payment you used for the purchase. The refund runs through our payment provider Stripe; how long your bank takes to credit it is outside our control. You will incur no fees as a result.
Withdrawal ends your access to the paid plan. Your account remains and continues on the free plan, as after any end of a subscription (section 24.1a of the Terms of Service): recording continues within the limits of the free plan, projects beyond those limits are paused, and the retention period of the previous plan continues to apply to your existing recordings for at least 30 days, after which that of the free plan applies; older recordings are then deleted. Please export beforehand whatever you wish to keep. The periods are stated in the Privacy Policy.
6. If you want to start straight away
MousePlayer is only of use to you while it is recording. We therefore activate your plan immediately rather than waiting 14 days. This requires your express request, which is why we ask for it at checkout (art. 15 sec. 3 of the Consumer Rights Act).
That request does not take away your right of withdrawal. It has a different consequence: if you withdraw after performance has begun, you owe us an amount proportionate to what has been supplied up to the moment of withdrawal (art. 35 sec. 1 of the Consumer Rights Act). That amount is calculated in proportion to the agreed total price.
An example
You subscribe on the 1st of the month to the Small plan at EUR 35.00 gross per month and withdraw on the 8th — that is, after seven of thirty days. We retain 7/30 of EUR 35.00 = EUR 8.17 and refund you EUR 26.83.
What you confirm at checkout. "I expressly request that MousePlayer begin supplying the service before the withdrawal period expires. I acknowledge that if I then withdraw, I will pay for what has been supplied up to that point."
Without that confirmation we cannot activate the plan immediately. We record it together with the time and the version of this notice — which is at the same time your evidence of what you were told.
If you do not make that request, the service begins only after the 14 days have passed. You then pay nothing for that time — but nor can you use the service. For trying it out there is the permanently free plan, which requires neither a request nor a payment.
7. When the right of withdrawal expires
For services, including digital services, the right of withdrawal can expire early where we have fully performed the service, you had expressly consented to early performance, had been informed beforehand that you would lose the right of withdrawal once the service is fully performed, and acknowledged this (art. 38 sec. 1 pt 1 of the Consumer Rights Act). The confirmation we ask for at checkout (section 6) contains no such statement. Your right of withdrawal therefore does not expire early but ends when the period under section 2 runs out.
For a running subscription, performance is complete only at the end of the paid period. On a monthly plan that is the end of the month; on an annual plan, the end of the year. Within the first 14 days it practically never is — your right of withdrawal therefore remains in place during that time.
We point this out expressly because some providers claim the opposite: merely requesting an immediate start does not extinguish your right of withdrawal.
8. Withdrawal and termination are two different things

You can terminate yourself at any time in the billing area of your account; it takes effect no later than two months after receipt (section 9.2 of the Terms). For withdrawal, a message under section 3 is enough.
9. If we cannot agree
Please complain to us first — the route and the deadlines are set out on the Complaints page. If we do not answer you as a consumer within 14 days, your complaint is deemed to have been accepted (art. 7a of the Consumer Rights Act).
If you do not agree with our answer, out-of-court routes are open to you as a consumer:
- the Voivodeship Inspector of the Trade Inspection (Wojewódzki Inspektor Inspekcji Handlowej) — mediation under art. 36 of the Trade Inspection Act and the permanent arbitration court under art. 37;
- the municipal or district consumer ombudsman (miejski or powiatowy rzecznik konsumentów) for your place of residence — free advice and assistance;
- the register of authorised bodies and further information is kept by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (uokik.gov.pl).
The European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR) ceased operating on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available. Where it is still mentioned, that information is out of date.
Taking part in an out-of-court procedure is voluntary for us. We are not bound by any code of conduct or by any consumer dispute resolution body, but we consider participation in each individual case and do not refuse it as a matter of principle. Independently of this you may go to court at any time; as a consumer you may sue in the courts for your place of residence, and the jurisdiction agreement in section 30.2 of the Terms does not apply to you (section 32.10).
Your statutory rights, in particular your rights where a digital service does not conform with the contract under chapter 5b of the Consumer Rights Act, are unaffected by this notice.
