Zapier, Make.com & Incoming Webhooks

Automate your business workflows by dispatching real-time HTTP POST JSON payloads to over 5,000+ external apps whenever critical UX events occur.

1. Architecture & Non-Blocking Dispatcher

The MousePlayer Webhook Bridge allows you to integrate session recordings and conversion events into your existing business automation tools (such as Zapier, Make.com, n8n, Slack, or HubSpot) without writing custom API code.

To ensure high-performance telemetry recording, our server architecture decouples database ingestion from external HTTP requests. When an automated trigger fires, the payload is enqueued into an asynchronous Redis queue (queue:webhooks) and processed by an independent background daemon (cron_webhooks.php). This guarantees zero latency impact on your website visitors.

Reliability Guarantee: The background dispatcher enforces strict timeouts (1,000 ms connection / 3,000 ms read) and automatic retry rules, ensuring your server remains performant even if external third-party webhooks experience downtime.

2. Supported Event Triggers

You can select exactly which events should dispatch HTTP POST payloads to your automation endpoint:

  • rage_click • Dispatched immediately when a visitor rapidly clicks broken or unresponsive UI elements in frustration.
  • error_detected • Dispatched when front-end JavaScript crashes or unhandled promise rejections are captured.
  • ce (Custom Conversions) • Dispatched when standard e-commerce events (such as purchase or add_to_cart) or custom lead generation forms are triggered.

3. JSON Payload Schema (HTTP POST)

Whenever a selected trigger fires, MousePlayer sends an HTTP POST request with a standardized JSON body and custom headers:

// Example HTTP POST Payload Sent to Your Webhook URL { "timestamp": "2026-08-01T13:45:00+02:00", "event_type": "rage_click", "channel_id": "YOUR_CHANNEL_ID", "session_id": "s_987654321_1722512700", "session_url": "https://app.mouseplayer.com/player?id=YOUR_CHANNEL_ID&session=s_987654321_1722512700", "parameters": { "target": "button.btn-checkout-submit", "count": 5 } }

The request also includes identifying HTTP headers: User-Agent: MousePlayer-Webhook/2.0 and X-MousePlayer-Event: <event_type>.

4. How to Connect Zapier, Make.com, or Slack

Connecting your MousePlayer workspace to no-code automation platforms takes less than two minutes:

Zapier Integration

  1. In Zapier, create a new Zap and select Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger app.
  2. Choose Catch Hook as the trigger event and copy the generated Webhook URL.
  3. In your MousePlayer Dashboard under Your Properties → Settings, paste the URL into the Webhook field, select your desired triggers, and save.
  4. Test your Zap to inspect the incoming JSON fields and map session_url into Slack messages, Trello cards, or HubSpot deals.

Make.com (Integromat) Integration

  1. In your Make scenario, add a new module: Webhooks → Custom webhook.
  2. Create a new webhook, copy the endpoint URL, and paste it into your MousePlayer Integrations settings.
  3. Trigger a test event on your website to allow Make.com to automatically determine the JSON data structure.

Direct Slack Notification Channel

You can also paste a Slack Incoming Webhook URL directly. When combined with Zapier or Make, your team can receive instant Slack alerts formatted with clickable replay buttons whenever a VIP customer encounters friction.
